Featuring a hybrid vertical-takeoff-and-landing and fixed-wing aircraft design, the XCraft X PlusOne HD Pro takes off like a regular quadcopter—and then transitions into forward flight for exhilarating speeds of up to 60 miles per hour. This completely self-contained drone comes with everything you need to get off the ground; just plug in one of the two included batteries, turn on the two-axis gimbal-stabilized RunCam HD, and you’re ready to go. Made of lightweight but durable expanded polyolefin, the X PlusOne can fly fast and take a hit. The battery gives you 20 minutes of flight time between charges, and the handheld controller lets you take the reins from up to 2.5 miles away.
Note: This drop is for the carbon-fiber edition.
Thanks to the X PlusOne’s fully autonomous flight plans, you can plan your mission using a Google Maps–like interface and let the drone fly the entire route—from takeoff to landing—without any user input. The aircraft can auto-follow your Android device using the Tower app and included telemetry module, and when the battery is low or the radio signal is lost, it’ll automatically return to the launch position and land. In the “Loiter” mode, the X PlusOne will hold its GPS position and altitude for easy quadcopter flying, and with “Auto Land,” you can let it handle the landing for you. Finally, along with the included controller, you can use your laptop or tablet to direct the drone while in the field.
