Hey guys. I'm trying to decide between this puppy and the Creative Sound Blaster E5 USB DAC/Amp Combo drop. The intended purpose would be for gaming and music. Thoughts? Opinions? Much appreciated.

AlucardWhat headphones are you running ? E5 has some great gaming related features and it doesn't sound horrendous. But it won't come anywhere near the sound quality of say a HA2 or this Dac/Amp.

AlucardDid not have the E5, bit I like the xduoo for gaming, because you can just add that Bass Boost if Wanted. ( For gaming I just use it aux in to get a little more Bass )
Btw imo this little thing is King with Fidelio X2s. Dunno why, but I love this Duo

doktorKewl thx doctor! That's great to know. The Fidelio X2s have actually been on my wish list for far too long. I think you just gave me the inspiration to go ahead n' finally pull the trigger on them ;)

AlucardDo it. The X2 are absolutely the best bang for buck headphones out there. I haven't heard anything for under $500 that sounds better. Also, they sound great with the XD-05. The XD-05 sound is quite a bit more refined than the sound I was getting out of the Fiio E18 the I just sold. Edit: The HE400i is now probably the best bang for the buck headphone.
