Now I will officially have too many keyboards (I believe this will put me at 10). This will be my first keyboard with linear switches, first RGB board, and first hall effect board, so I guess I can mentally justify the sickness. But I remember having similar thoughts at 5 boards...

phoibleDon't worry, that is what I said about my first five IBM SSKs. It gets better.

Techie.WillYeah. I guess that if I'm being honest with myself, there are some more that I want (for example an SSK and a FC660), and keyboards are a relatively inexpensive hobby when compared with some other things.

phoibleCars are far more expensive if you're into heavily modifying or restorations.
I've got probably $5,000 tied up in all my keyboards. That wouldn't even buy the parts I am looking to buy for a project car I'm working on.

phoibleAnd cars take up a lot of space too. All of my extra keyboards fit on the top shelf of one closet.

phoibleI successfully resisted a second of these AND the IKBC all aluminum drop. However, I will now have 6 more keyboards than computers (of which i have too many) :(

phoibleOnce you start buying mechanical keyboards they are going to stay for a while ;-)
The cheap membrane stuff tends to stop working after a year or so. Then I wanted to save desk space so I looked for keyboard without numeric keypad which I seldom use. And the cheapest one was some Zalman mechanical gaming board. And a few years later I am still typing on that.
