Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

The silence on the last drop tells me everyone is liking what they hear. You usually only hear from folks having problems. Satisfied customers usually stay quiet. Busy enjoying their music.
There is no factory warranty through the vendor but Massdrop stands behinds it for a year. MD doesn’t keep inventory so if there is a problem contact support, return the unit and you get a full refund. Yulong does have a direct phone number and email on their website under the support tab. As for the drivers, my gf told me she had no issues with the driver. She has a PC. I had a couple weeks with the DA9 and really liked it. It pairs really well with everything I tried. Fostex TH900, LCD2rev2, THX00 and the HD6XX, Noble6, Shure846, Noble K10, NuForce HEM8. Also hooked it up Balanced to the LCX and it was incredible.
The DA9 is built like a tank. Certainly up to the quality I would expect in a +$1000 unit. Take a look at the Yulong website. It made me feel better. I wasnt sure about the filters and modes but after using them I do like the option. The Sharp and PCM1 is the truest setting for those wondering. Classical and more quiet blues/singer songwriter stuff does benefit from playing with the filters. Never overly warm but never harsh either. Sweet and buttery. Extremely revealing. Silent background and isolation of instruments are both on point.Soundstage is incredible too. I enjoyed the time with Yulong DA9. Certainly not an expert but do enjoy good gear for a good price. I’ve been looking into this DAC/Amp for a while. Connectablity is great too. Im already in On this drop. Fingers crossed it has enough interest. Take the plunge. You won’t be sorry you did. And if you are, return it and get your money back.
