I really want to pick this up for a trip I have planned on the 23rd. I know it says it ships early September, so it should be fine, but I do get paranoid knowing Massdrop. I guess it just depends on whether they use FedEx or DHL =P
I have an 18 hour flight, so I'm definitely looking for a massive powerbank. Will be walking around Tokyo for two weeks, so I will likely have a backpack on me all the time anyways. Is 20k about the highest I'm gonna get, or are there even beefier ones? I will do some research, but figured I'd get a conversation started in here as well!

I was operating under that assumption, but felt it would still be really useful. Especially if there are shared ports. I didn't spring for business or first class (it was an extra $3k!), So it may not have a port for each person in the row.
Also, I am going to be exploring Tokyo with no real plans or itinerary, so I may be gone for long periods of time. I realize it's a high tech city that probably has charging stations, but I don't want to take any chances. If my phone dies, my GPS dies, and that would be scary as fuck

SeelenDefinitely a good idea to have a powerbank (or three) on hand while traveling, especially abroad. Also, to answer your original question (I'm sure it's too late, but maybe helpful for posterity), the maximum powerbank size allowed in planes is 100 W-h, which generally works out to ~27000 mAh. Zendure also makes one closer to that size, but honestly, 20k mAh is plenty for most applications, and the form factor of this particular device makes it really easy to slide into a back pocket along with the phone it's charging, so I've had a great experience with it so far. Also, if anyone is wondering, yes, this model can charge up to a 2017 15" MacBook Pro via the USB-C port (charges at the full 45 W).
