Beautiful knife. I bought the 8" Chef's knife find it to be very comfortable to use. I have relativity large hands. I have only had it for a short while but am truly enjoying it. Cuts beautifully (diced lemon grass (for Tom Yum Paste) with ease and cuts onions with less tears.
Have had this for a while now. Daily use on veg and boneless chicken/pork. Only had to sharpen once. Granted I keep a blade guard on it.. still, very good quality. And it looks amazing.
Surgical grade knives in a beautiful form! The shaped handle fits my large hand much better then the standard tube-shaped Asian knife handles.

Cuts everything you need it to and even things you don't
I've been using the Nakiri for well over a year now. Its weight and balance make for comfortable usage. It's very sharp out of the box - so sharp that it went straight through fingernail and took a chunk off my finger when I was careless. I think of that incident every time I use it to slice hot dogs or sausages. 10/10 would buy again.
The knife was good but not outstanding. The edge was only acceptably sharp. I stropped it and it became much better. However, I have EDC folding knives that are sharper. There was also a cosmetic blemish on the spine of the knife. There was a small nick on the spine. This does not affect the performance of the knife but it reflects the average quality of the manufacture. Overall, this was a good value for a VG10 chef knife, but not great.
Looks pretty out of the box and stays sharp after one month of use, but the handle cracked already, even after drying with a towel immediately after each use. Also, definitely not Damascus steel, appears more like a sticker surrounding core layer of knife. Overall, you get what you pay for, in this case a sharp knife that looks like one that would cost more but is definitely not made of the finest materials.
