That's one way to approach it. I was thinking of clamping down some auto trim tools to get the same utility at a fraction of the price. Even cheaper, you can use a clamp on a reshaped fork. Re-purposing mass manufactured parts would be much cheaper than having them custom made. Get creative with it!

The price is high because they're made in the USA. and are a quality tool. You get what you pay for. 5 Stars for this great tool.

JulieCCinCO Julie, do you have a video of that? I use a hemostat quite a bit. Now I would be interested in watching the old fork part of it

Yikes! $54? That's crazy! My husband could make me this in his garage in probably 5 mins. I'm absolutely shocked that anyone would buy this for either $54 Or $70..... Wow!

Sadly, Sally from SLARS, stole the information like everything else she does. She also most likely requires a "VIP" membership to watch the video.

PunkieTrue, but this looks really helpful. I think my projects would be easier to sew if I could just take the zipper tab off and then easily hook it back on at the end. I have spent hours working with invisible zipper tape, when the tabs get pulled off. But you are right, $ 54 may be too much for me. I have to think about this.
