Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

jeezus, dude. you certainly must know what the inside of a tin can sounds like.(Pre-rug) :-)
seriously... Throw rugs from Amazon, until you get sorted. (Amazon is easy on us Canookies, too, depending on where ya live.) I went for the Toftbo, it's a thick Ikea throw rug,(that actually does NOT require assembly in swedish!) that's meant for us to put as a mat in the bathroom, but I love them for the comfort, good sound absorption qualities, and, when done with them because you got that sweet 2 million dollar Persian rug that goes with the set-up, can be placed around in other areas, easy to just pick up and toss into the washer. Good neutral colours. Cheap, like 8 bux, you can lay them on top of that big rug in spots that are sound happy....
I find them awesome as terrier placemats, when needed. Especially at the back door.
Don't take this the wrong way,, I hope you can handle the truth, I know it is often hard because it really gets personal, but here it is from the horse's mouth (left "puke" in). FYI I also did not mention that you had bought a B&W carpet, there you made the right choice - as I (lay person;) also said, she is looking at the tile floor and sofa you already have and chose "white or gray and black" . Please understand this is real ,, that this would normally cost $150 for her to walk in your door, gratis here.
What I asked (w/pasted pics):
"Need an expert favor… For this area what rug? Guy on blog asking, try to match green or go elsewhere with rug color? Needs sound deadening… Looks like from tile that an 8’ x 10’ ? should go from in front of the tall speakers to just under the sofa long side and fully under the sofa lie down ‘L’ extension? Thanks, oxox"
What I got (please note that I did put in "oxox", and cashed in some hubby points for you, to get this):
"8x10 yes, what's with the brown, puke green and gray?!?! Maybe something in gray and white or gray and black. Get rid of the puke green or at least repaint the brown wall to something that goes with gray sofa. Rug sources all depends on budget Home Decorator https://www.therugcompany.com/us-en/ https://www.wayfair.com/rugs/cat/rugs-c215385.html "
Now that MD is a home decorator chat site;)... I did not even bother to mention to her that you are now looking at a brown carpet with the gray couch... brown carpet is out... and yes you should repaint the brown wall... if not the green ones as well...
Gregotav; I'm surprised that she didn't comment on the brown pillows you like,, I know though that in her mind those were simply thrown away, given to the dogs... She would match these as bolder "accent pillows" for the gray sofa, to match what is chosen as to the rug and what is done for wall color "repair"...
Now to get past the decorating crap; how does it sound? Done Interstellar (all), Matrix (lobby scene:) and Saving Private Ryan (Omaha Beach scene)? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nT0kYvUFqVc
Others chime in; favorite quality audio/visual scenes/movies/concerts for Thujan to watch, with the new system?
Oh, do want to hear a review on the carpet/memory foam pad vs carpet/std. pad, (get a regular pad from another rug, or borrow?).
