So...people are voting for generic knock-offs rather than the original Sieveking Omega Stands?
I don't even know why anyone would link to a product page of a knock-off maker? Are people aware of the low quality materials and unsafe solvenents used in these? Sieveking has been making reports of it on their website after mentions of skin reactions from 'Omega like' Stands on Audiophile sites ever since they introduced the design in 2010ish.
Surprised that Massdrop went with this...
I got an omega from a previous drop, and I love it. Use it every day. Operationally, I prefer it to the hanger stands I own. Admittedly, they were designed for bananas...
I got the wood omega headphone stand in a previous drop. It looks good but I wouldn't recommend it. Having to hold your headphones apart and put them around the stand is a pretty clumsy process, especially while the stand slides around. In hindsight I wish I'd gotten a hanger style headphone stand. I recommend you guys vote for hanger style stands like the cosmos stand
