Altra’s most popular trail-running shoe, the Lone Peak 2.0 offers comfort and stability on a variety of terrains. It stands out for its moderate cushioning, quick-dry mesh upper with minimal seams, and proprietary FootShape toe box—which encourages natural toe splay and proper running form. Use the hook-and-loop tab on the back of each shoe for quick, strapless trail-gaiter attachment.
Note: This drop is for the Altra Lone Peak 2.0 in Mocha. Full and half sizes are available from Women’s 6 to 9.5.
Altra’s Zero Drop platform delivers level cushioning and ideal weight balance from heel to forefoot. The dual-layer EVA midsole has an A-Bound top layer that reduces the impact of hard surfaces, along with a flexible sandwiched StoneGuard that deflects rocks and other debris. For a confident stride wherever your run takes you, the TrailClaw outsole provides incredible traction in uphill and downhill conditions. Lace ‘em up whether you’re trail running, hiking, fastpacking, or trail racing; exploring a new mountain or your hometown.
Altra was born in the back room of a Wasatch Mountains running store, where owner Golden Harper met countless runners who complained of knee pain, shin splints, and other injuries from traditional pointed toe boxes and thick, heavy heels. A competitive runner himself, Golden began experimenting with shoe alterations to solve his customers’ problems. By melting the outsoles (in his trusty toaster oven!), he was able to remove the excess heel elevation for a more natural, relaxed foot position. The new platform design was dubbed Zero Drop.
