ChinguinYeah, the USB version would have been nice. However, no this will most definitely NOT work with that cable - or any XLR to 1/4" or XLR to 1/8" cable. It's a condenser microphone, which has a carefully balanced coil that requires "phantom power." Only an audio interface with a phantom power switch is capable of providing that. Not sure if it's +48v or +52v, but either way, won't work with a computer out of the box.
Heck, even a dynamic microphone that DOESN'T require phantom power won't work out of the box with an XLR to 1/4". I've tried that with a Shure SM57 and an old XLR to 1/4" I had lying around. You can hear it...but at a whisper. The preamps within the audio interface are what power it. A computer's audio out isn't nearly enough power.
TL;DR: No. get the USB one or get an audio interface with phantom power to go with it.
