Wow, they made it worse. Hats off Aune. Sadly that makes this a no go when paired with my SE846.
Thanks for taking the time to dig up this information for us!
In terms of SQ, which of the following would be better? DX3 Pro, iFi Nano Black or this one? I'm upgrading from a Fiio E10k since I got the HD6xx and I'm not entirely sure what to get. Would a D10 Dac + standalone amp be better? Thanks in advance.
bonyaiI am very much enjoying my iFi Nano Black so far. Behaves well with all the headphones I use with it. Very clear and revealing sound, and the complete absence of audible click in the signal path when turning on is a nice bonus. Having said that, the highest impedance set I use with it are 80 ohm, so if you have more challenging headphones, I cannot guarantee good luck, but I don't think that concern is unique to the iFi.
Thank you kind stranger, but alas, you were 19 hours late to help. I tip my cowboy hat to you in respect and continue on my path on my horse because I live in Texas, and you know everyone in Texas rides horses while dual wielding revolvers.
I see some people upset that the output impendance is ~10ohms. As a beginner audiophile, what's this mean? That IEMS and low-power headphones will be too loud?
How does one fix that ? I have sure 425s and they sounds like trash using this. Everything sounds great with m50x's ( 38ohms ) but the iems are (32 ohms )
Nightf0xxI would guess different? The actual DAC chip is different but sound is affected by a lot more than just the chip. The output implementation matters as well. Since this hasn't come out yet, I don't know if anyone could answer your question with any sort of certainty. As far as I know, no one has measured this particular version yet either.
