New York’s Grand Central Terminal is one of the most iconic locations in the world. So it makes sense why a heritage brand like Ball honored it. Limited to 999 pieces, the Ball Engineer II GCT is a memorable piece with lots of charm. It gets its name from the subdial at 6 o’clock that tracks the local time in New York, giving you a constant connection to the Big Apple. (You can set it to any time zone you like.) Flip the case over and you’ll find an etching of the famous four-sided clock that’s been a fixture in the terminal for nearly a century. Inside the 100-meter water resistant stainless steel case is Ball’s RR1301 21-jewel movement, providing a 42-hour power reserve. Another nice tidbit? As Ball was originally a brand for engineers and train workers who would often be exposed to magnetic fields, this watch is antimagnetic to keep them from affecting accuracy. Like most Ball watches, it has tritium illumination in the markers and hands, too.
