600 ohm only? Bummer. If I was to get an amp what would be counted as a "Serious amplifier"?

JGunnzOne that would be able to drive 600ohm headphones, duh. Seriously, any 'serious (headphone) amplifier' manufacturer will advertise the capabilities of their amp and usually the maximum recommended load (ohm) is disclosed. If you are looking for recommendations, scour the net. You can get some very decent gear for as little as $100, and as always in hi-fi, there is almost no limit to how much you can spend. I am a happy owner of Musical Fidelity V90-HPA.
