My new favorite carry pen. Did not think I would like the oblong shape, but I LOVE it to death!! Very comfortable in the hand, incredibly solid feel and great deployment. My second Boker pen, and absolutely not my last will be getting more of these. I have the same milling marks as other reviewers described. Personally, did not consider that a defect.

To my dismay, I ordered the brass one by accident. But after using it for a while I have come to appreciate how solid and hefty it feels. Mechanism is snappy and easy to use for my small fingers. Can't wait for the brass finish to 'wear' in. Apart from the stealthy look of the black version, I'm really happy with this brass one I have.

Two demerits: Clip retention is on the weak side, activating the bolt is a bit tough on the thumb due to how deep it's recessed. Each is worth about half a star to me. Now that that's out of the way, this is a beautiful pen. Perfectly smooth so no traction to speak of, but feels the most solid out of any pen I have despite being the smallest in my collection. Changing refills just requires a T8 torx bit which you have already if you're a knife guy, and once you take it apart you can really appreciate the brilliantly simple engineering of the bolt mechanism. As mentioned, activating it is a bit tough, but retracting it is super easy and satisfying. I'll take the rough activation happily in trade for having no extended bolt poking at the rest of my pocket contents. One of my favorite cheap bolt pens, in comparison to the CRKT Ruger and the Boker 50 this wins hands down. Would recommend, would buy again.

The provided cartridge is horrible, but replacing it with a Schmidt Easy Flow 9000 makes (at least) the brass pen a pleasure to write with. The substantial heft to the pen pairs nicely with the aforementioned refill, making it glide effortlessly.

Severe machining marks on the bolt. Top screw comes undone on its own. When deployed there is play between the pen cartridge and the pen housing.

Great pen, nice to write with. However, the stainless clip broke in my pocket due to strain from sitting down, my fault, but the clip could still be sturdier.

Well built pen. Not a big fan of the shape of the pen body. Feels weird in my hand. Also requires a tool to change the ink cartridge. The "bolt" part of the pen is pretty sharp when you stick your hand in your pocket. These things are not a huge problem but worth mentioning. On the plus side it takes up very little room in your pocket and has a nice clip.

Great pen which works really well. Wish that they had included the Allen wrench needed to replace the ink cartridge, not a huge deal but would have been nice. I needed to add a bit of thread locker to the screw on the top since it does have a tendency to slowly loosen. I use Fischer Space Pen Cartridges and have never written with the one included.

tbradbeerI broke the clip off of mine, and the Boker customer service sent a torx allen wrench with the replacement clip. I agree that it'd be nice for them to include one with the pen, but at least they sent me one for free!

Love this pen. Just absolutely love it.
So sturdy, so fun. It’s my EDC of choice although I switch to something fancier when going out dressed up. Sent one to my brother in law and bought one for each of the associates in my office.
