In comparison to a T3i the low light capabilities and resolution are very noticably better. Images are sharp and the detail very clear. Yes I am pleased !!

Coming from the Canon 450D (mine took a swim on the beach), this is a great upgrade for an enthusiast like me. The one that I missed from the 450D was the proximity sensor that is below the viewfinder that deactivates the back screen. When using the camera, my nose would touch the screen and change some of the settings while shooting. Image quality is great! However, I would avoid taking photographs above 3200 ISO because that would give you a really grainy image. It is expected from this entry-level camera. I can't wait to get other lenses and try it on the 800D.
