The Ikoma Fossil by CRKT is ergonomically designed by Brazilian custom knifemaker Flavio Ikoma. Featuring a drop-point blade made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, the Fossil has great slicing ability.. The blade's satin finish pairs nicely with the scaled, two-toned handle giving the folder a prehistoric, yet graceful aesthetic. The scaled handle is made from 2Cr13 stainless steel with a G-10 overlay that’s contoured for a solid grip. This folder features the IKBS ball bearing pivot system and flipper for easy deployment and a frame lock to hold the blade in place. It's also designed with jimping on the back of the blade and a finger guard for an even closer grip. At checkout, you’ll have your choice from six different styles. The compact version has a 3.4-inch blade as opposed to 4 inches. Some versions have Veff serrations, too.
Note: At checkout, choose from the following: Fossil Black Compact, Fossil Black With Veff Serrations (+ $10), Fossil (+ $10), and Fossil With Veff Serrations (+ $15). Brazilian Custom knifemaker Flavio Ikoma grew up with an affinity for blades and cutlery. Taking influence from Japanese swords and knives, Ikoma began designing custom knives out of bamboo in his adolescence. He then worked in his father's shop where he had access to different tools and materials to hone his knifemaking skills. Ikoma began his professional knifemaking career in 1993 and eventually went on to invent the patented IKBS ball bearing system in partnership with Korth Cutlery. Renowned for his unique, ergonomic designs, Ikoma has become a trusted name in the knife community.
