Richard Rogers’ career in knifemaking dates back to 1997. A cattle rancher in New Mexico, he understands how handy a good knife in the field can be. He also understands that complicated doesn’t always mean better. With that in mind, he designed the Maven: a spry, full-sized flipper, absent of frills with a workhorse mentality. The main attraction on this flipper is the hollow-ground drop-point, which measures a solid 3.7 inches. It’s crafted from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel for a good edge that’s easy to sharpen when it comes time. The straightforward handle has a single curve from the front to the back for a more traditional look. It’s made with G-10 scales for a secure grip on the ranch, in the woods, or helping out around the house.
