8Cr13MoV. Ugh. People, please. So many good designs, devastated by butter knife steel.

I'd give this one a miss team... I purchased the Radic on the last drop and it's shown up with design flaws. The thumb stud to deploy the blade is to shallow and you can't get a contact point on it. Additionally the pressure from the frame lock on the blade causes to much friction and the spring assist opening does not work either.

If anything... it’s a modified tanto-sheep’s-foot... no where close to a wharncliffe :p

Caveat emptor. Spring assisted knives are probably a no-go to Canada.
The Canadian Criminal Code wording on prohibited knives is exactly this:
(84)(1)(b) "any knife that has a blade that opens automatically by gravity or centrifugal force, or by hand pressure applied to a button, spring or other device attached to the handle of the knife.
Also, the CBSA has been confiscating all sort of knives including Spyderco (because of the hole that allows one-hand opening, FFS!) and even fixed-blade karambits because the ring at the end could be used as a ”knuckle duster”... I am crapping you negative.
Tread lightly, my fellow Canuckistanians, and remember that the gubmint knows what’s best for you!

Droid1963Spring assisted is (or at least was) acceptable as long as it is not activated by a button, toggle, sliding bolster, etc. On the scale or frame of the knife. You can buy this knife in Canada. You can buy Kershaw Speedsafes etc. no problem. At issue is a new interpretation but hopefully things will settle down soon. I’m like 20 for 20 shipments through since the decision. (Hoping I didn’t just curse that.)

Ugh, tip down carry is a no-go for me. Too bad as I love the design on this one :-(

That blade looks a bit like the one in the Benchmade 940, which I've heard described as a reverse tanto... That makes a little more sense to me than wharncliffe. It's nice looking either way, though.

I might have considered this knife if the clip could be moved for tip up carry.

The blade is fantastic but it's difficult to open with one hand.

DrCherryA month later of working with it and using some oil and it'll open if I put a wrist flick into it. I guess that's some progress.
