With the Rose wooden cups arrived, changed in immediately when I back home. For those who would like to have a look inside the EMU Teak but don't want to dissemble yours, you can have a look here.

Initial listening to the rose did quite similar to what Chan did shown on the FR in the drop page, the sub-bass is more detailed and more punchy, and I feels that vocal seems slightly less forward (or maybe due to the sub-bass more detailed and head to head with the vocal, let me have an illusion that vocal recessed a little compare with Teak, IDK as I don't have the golden ear)
So far I am happy with either Teak and Rosewood. Each of them has their own characteristics which is significant, and I don't regret having the Rose Cups. Now, I will listen to the Rose and wait for my purple heart arrival, then I will compare them again.

PeterfatBeautiful. As I haven't gotten mine yet and thus haven't had a chance to see for myself, how does one go about switching cups?

Boostergoldit's easy, the ear pad can be unlocked with a slight rotate the plastic support below it, then you can found the 4 earpad lock holes with each has a screw in it. Un-screw all 4 of them and you get an open headphone, and align the wood pattern for the new cup, then screw back everything, that's it.

PeterfatAfter a few weeks of listening, here is my personal (and extremely unprofessional) comment on the 3 woods (Original Teak, Rosewood, Purple Heart, not whisky of course).
Original Teak initially sounded good to me when with no other wood cup to compare(my original set, B&W P7 sometime on-the-run and my ADC Sennheiser IE800, btw, IE800 still looking for successor). It sounded a large sound stage, good bass quality (just right amount with good punch, but not that a straight punch in the face type, or read not what bass head looking for). Mid leans forward, and high is just as good, from listening female vocal (Jpop real person vocal) to violin.
Then later on the Rosewood arrived. When first changed in, the sub bass is now have more presence. The bass+sub bass quantity overall is more, but I don't feel at the mid/vocal or high; in contrast, the vocal on rosewood is more forward, which is just what Chan did mentioned with the diagram. The sound stage is just similar in size to the Teak, but with different rendering/texture, more to follow up on this later.
Finally, the purple heart arrived. I changed it in from Rosewood. The first impression is that PH do gives more punch on bass, and less sub bass. And with that punchy, it is just solid which some less demanding bass head may find their right cups. The vocal/mid and high are same level as the Teak. And the sound stage is smaller this time
With the 3 woods each listened for about 2 weeks, I do feel that I like bigger sound stage, so purple heart is out of the game. Anyway, initially Chan already told me Teak , Rose and Ebony are better than other, both in our emails and publicly on the post. However, aesthetically, the PH is more nicely looking and special in color, and that's also what I expected initially. And with some A/B comparison (easily Left side teak and right side Rose, and then change side), I do realize although both Rose and Teak has relatively wide sound stage (at least relative to PH, my previous P7 and the HD6xx**). But the sound stage is different among them. I will try my best to describe, and please forgive me that I may use the wrong terminology below, as I am not professional or native English speaker. For Teak, there seem to be a more hollow echoing in the sound stage while Rose is echoing more linearly. For example, a piano and violin duet, the violin echo decay much fast initially on PH, while for Rose echo decaying relatively slower and more linear. But they both have a similar length on the overall echo decay duration. I have this conclusion because as of writing this subjective comment, I do listening Teak on Left and Rose on Right. The violin echo finishes more or less the same time, but you can hear the texture of echo is just different explicitly. However, as the there is no big different in length the echo, I don't feel unbalance and can listen to a hour to spot and think of how to describe the small but significant different. I cannot do this for long when one side is PH, which is quite different in sound stage and echo.
In the end, I do glad and found worthy to have these 3 woods. Currently Rose is mounted on EMU. It just quite all round from listening classical to Jpop. The Teak is one of its kind and I do really understand why Chan insisted it will not sell separately. Although PH is nothing specialized in on the sound, it just looks gorgeous!
My next target will be ebony if my WnW (wallet and Wife) allow me to do so. From other comments, it also sound nice and one of its kind, not to mention ebony is what chan initially recommended to me in the email (Original Teak, Rosewood and Ebony). If I do really have a chance to get a pair of ebony, surely I write some comment here again.
And thank you for whoever read until here, bear with my bullshitting so long. Happy Listening!
**[Side track: HD6xx/650, so do HD600/700/800/800s, do requires a good amp to show it true qualities, if without a proper desktop/mobile amp, EMU can match up normally, but once a proper amp in place, the difference is huge while keeping its neturality. Strongly recommended listen to a pair WITH GOOD AMPING if you never hear, but don't blame me for starting another pit to burn your money away quickly]
