Have LG V10 which produces pretty good sound, do I really need this?

michaelye168Need is a strong word but if you have to ask....Probably not. If you can't Invision yourself using it don't waste the cash. Do you have DSD files? Could you make use of an external DAC?

KelephantNo need external dac, v10 has a 32bit dac and I do not have any DSD. An external amp maybe I need to drive hifiman 400.

michaelye168i once owned both V10 and X3ii, sound quality is almost same for both, but the sound signature/characteristic is different between the two, fiio x3ii sounds bit warmer and fuller,hence bit more engaging.
i recommend X3ii over V10, however that's my opinion and its not really popular opinion as lots of people prefer V10 .
Anyway..Fiio X3ii also can be used as DAC for your PC and line-out too(for external amp or car stereo).

michaelye168It's definitely going to have better sound quality (not power) and it can be used on a desk PC or laptop but I think a portable amp like the fiio E12 will serve you much better....It's my bff.
