I can understand the disappointment you guys are expressing(I also find it annoying. It's normal) but ranting every single page won't do much. I'm sure they(or atleast some) are trying their best to deliver our headphones as fast as they can and I'm sure Alex does his best as well.
Are you paying $400 for deadlines or for the headphones? I think it's kinda stupid to refund or maybe some of you just didn't really want the X00s. Oh well, everyone does what he wants. Whatever.
I think all we need are daily updates. That's it.

NujabesA lot of the complaining is from the people who ordered in mid-late June, like me. MD decided to bump us out of line to take in new orders. We were supposed to have these by now, just like the purplehearts that have been shipped and ordered the same time as ours. We complain so new customers know what they are getting into. We are asking for refunds to tell MD how unsatisfied we are with their service.

NujabesSo look back at how often I've ACTUALLY posted. It's been very, very sparse. When I did post, I do have more lengthy posts and am quite annoyed with things, specifically the whole second drop for the same product with an earlier delivery date than the first. In addition, I can see from the other posts going on here: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/fostex-x-massdrop-th-x00-purpleheart-headphones/talk that many people have already gotten their Purplehearts which were the brand new cans developed just in late Spring/early Summer. I understand what the shipping date I signed up for is and that's why I didn't say anything until there was a sudden new drop. I also paid for both the headphones and the deadline. That's not a great argument to make.
Let me take this out of the world of Massdrop and into the world of one of my favorite cars that I'll never own. Suppose that I created an offering for 10 Ferrari Enzo Ferraris for $1.8 million dollars each to be delivered on January 1st, 2017. You take me up on that (incredible by the way) deal in June of 2016. At the end of August 2016, I put up another offering to people for the same price for 5 Ferrari Enzo Ferraris which are a "special offering" with a promised delivery date of November 1st, 2016. Would you, after agreeing that $1.8 million is an insanely great deal with a delivery of January 1st be happy that I decided to give this second offering? Now let me take this further. Suppose, in the original offering that there was a choice of either the Ferrari Enzo Ferrari (sorry, that's it's full and proper name) or the Ferrari FXX Evoluzione, with the FXX Evoluzione offering to be limited to 10 total cars (and also suppose that the FXX Evoluzione had not been developed yet). The price for the FXX Evoluzione in my offering was $2.1 million dollars because the speed goes from 197MPH to 214MPH along with all the other things which make that car so nice. The delivery date for the FXX Evoluzione (again, this was not even developed at the time of the original offering except maybe on paper with a couple test versions), was the same January 1, 2017.
With this all done, the following happens, the people who opted the FXX Evoluzione came home beginning in late August and into early September to find their brand new toy parked in their driveway with the keys by the front door in a <insert carrier here> box. There were 6 people who got the car and 2 of those noticed that the headlamp assembly wasn't correctly installed so needed to be redone. However, they DID get their cars. Those who went with the Ferrari Enzo Ferrari, which was already a production car weren't getting anything. Then the people in the first offering began to question me as to why I suddenly had 5 of the Ferrari Enzo Ferraris to offer at the end of August but weren't able to begin shipping to them since they had paid earlier. Then the ship date of the set of 5 comes and goes and still, no one who ordered the Ferrari Enzo Ferrari has their cars while the FXX Evoluzione's are being delivered each day.
So, in this, were you paying for the car or paying for the delivery date? My guess is you're paying for both. If I kept that whole scenario up and we got to a year out and you still didn't have your car, would you still be saying, well, it was such a great deal...? NO, you wouldn't, you would be justifiably saying WHY AREN'T YOU FULFILLING THE ORDER I PLACED??? If I then didn't say anything to you and just made no updates, or forced you to login to a discussion thread with 275 pages in it to find the one or two sporadic comments that I made about the delivery, you'd be justifiably upset and demanding that you receive either your car or you get your $1.8 million back.
Now, I fully realize that there's a massive difference between $400.00 and $1.8 million, but the comparison still stands. You aren't just paying for the product irrespective of delivery any more than you're paying for delivery irrespective of QA. If I fulfilled your Ferrari Enzo Ferrari but it was missing all but 1 lug bolt per tire, didn't have a spare in the bonnet, the mufflers were hanging by one bolt on each side, then you'd be also justifiably upset.
What I'm looking for and what I think the others who have posted recently are looking for is not a huge explanation about the second drop. That happened, it's done, moving on. What we do expect is to have timely updates in an email form, not having to scroll through this post to find where MD decided to make some comments about delivery.
I really don't have any more to say about this after this post, (I've probably typed way more than needed anyway) and I'm staying in until I get my headphones. This, however, will be the last item I purchase from MD until I can see that the delivery problems have been corrected. At this point, this has gotten so bad that MD should really be doing far more to defend their customers than saying that it's all UPS fault that they don't have the headphones. Something's got to change.
