Frédérique Constant Persuasion Calendar Watch

As much a work of art as it is a functional timepiece, the Persuasion Calendar Watch from Frédérique Constant features a rectangular case and an art deco-style dial. The Roman numerals are slightly warped to fit within the constructs of the case, like an optical illusion of sorts. Comprising four separate subdials, the watch tracks the month, day, date, and even has a moonphase complication at 6 o’clock. Lumed hands help add visibility, while the stainless steel case and sapphire crystal protect the quartz movement to a depth of 30 meters.

The Frédérique Constant names comes from the two great grandparents of each of its founders: Frédérique Schreiner and Constant Stas—the latter of which began printing watch dials in 1904. Independent and family owned, this Geneva, Switzerland–based company puts a high emphasis on design, continually evolving to offer the most innovative technical features in its timepieces. Founded in 1988, it’s been exhibiting at the World Watch, Clock, and Jewelry Show since 1995. Each of its watches is assembled by hand, and undergoes a rigorous set of quality control checks before being finished.
