is anyone able to provide stunning pictures from experience with this lens?
i used to have it but i found it immensely hard to really appreciate it

Thanks! I appreciate the sentiment. In comparing this I most definitely prefer 18mm f2 for the similarity in small-form but the wide-angle makes it much more versatile for my purposes.

If you pixel peep at 100% on your screen, it's not stunning, maybe.
If you make real-world 11x14 (or even 16x20) prints and compare them to lenses alleged to be "better," there's not really much difference.
Photography is not about sharpness.

The 27 f/2.8 is one of my favourite lens. Its a focal length close to 35 mm but at a much more compact size. Its sharp centre to edge from 5.6 and auto-focus very quickly.
I love to see the new 35 f/2. WR or the 23 f/1.4 on massdrop.

Nasty87Yes, it is, you are on Asia market thus you get different price and sometimes items. Looking at vw golf in Australia and Canada for example.
And in terms of shopping, i couldn't find an option to send to Canada

$310+shipping for an import XF 27mm is not a good deal. These are available for less brand new.
