Perhaps best known for its 24-hour Airman tool watch, Glycine has been producing timepieces since 1914. Now, with the release of the Double Twelve, fans of more conventional, less pilot-focused designs have something to love about this classic Swiss watchmaker. Like the original Airman, the Double Twelve allows you to set the watch to two different time zones. Also like the original, it features two screw-down crowns: one at 3 o’clock, which sets the time and date, and another at 4 o’clock, which locks the bezel.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of seven styles: GL0232, GL0233, GL0234, GL0235, GL0178, GL0061 (-$15), GL0062 (-$15), or GL0063 (-$15).
Each hour position is marked with an Arabic numeral as well as a luminescent square, beneath which sit minute markers in increments of five. Stick markers between each hour position also denote the minutes. For easy legibility, the syringe-style hands are lumed. The watch is fitted with GL224 Swiss movement, which beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers up to 38 hours’ power reserve.
