Is it worth it to get the Pico Power over the slim and DAC? I would be primarily using with my iPhone 6 Plus with HD6XX, with occasional Switch and iPad use. The slim and DAC seem convenient since they have internal batteries rather than having to use 9v, and I wonder if the DAC is worth it for when I eventually upgrade my iPhone to a headphone jack lacking model. Please let me know, thank you!
JasonTerminatorSlim won't drive 6xx properly (it's for iem's).
Dac will drive 6xx, but not as well as the power.
If you want to use the dac with an iphone, you need to add in the camera connector. I don't know if the switch will output audio via USB (I don't think it does).
Only you can decide if the added functionality of the dac is worth a trade off in power. I bought the power and will look into a dragonfly or similar if I ever need to worry about a dac.
AudiophilestineThe Switch does output audio through USB as of system version 4. I use the Sony PlayStation Gold wireless headphones that use a USB receiver on the Switch and they work remarkably well (no microphone support though, but that's on Nintendo).
