Great option over a rigid container. Very tough. A little funny smell for the first couple uses but went away after a while

I bought this to stow in my backpack taking up as little room as possible, but to still have on hand for dry stretches of trails. It works perfectly for this. It's very light, but also strong. The container has lash points to strap it on the outside of a pack for short periods. I would not do this off trail or in lots of brush because it really is just a thin bladder and would not hold up to lots of poking. But for general hiking in the open and toting extra water for a while or porting it back from a creek to put out a fire or wash up away from running water, it's perfect. I don't recommend drinking straight from it without practicing at home first! It's wobbly and can collapse, dousing you. I fill, treat, and transfer to a more sturdy container.

I haven't noticed any odor/taste issues. What I have noticed, though, is that it's a bitch to fill from a shallow, standing source of water. The container lays flat on its own, and if you can't drag it in the water to force water in, it only fills less than halfway. Seems sturdy for the weight/capacity, too.

I already owned a 2 liter and purchased another 2L and a 4L here on Massdrop. I love them and use a Seeker every time I hike/backpack. None of them had the odor that I see people mentioning, not to say that may not be an issue but it hasn't been for any of mine. I have had no leaking or issues and the one I've owned for over a year has been strapped to a pack, used as the clean water recipient from my Sawyer filter and gets filled with boiling water on cold nights (almost every night here in the PNW) and used has a hot water bottle in the tent. Super light, super convenient to carry, tons of lash-on points, durable af.

I purchased a 3L on this website about a year ago. I've had mixed results with Hydrapack, their products always seem to be one or two modifications away from greatness. Concerning my own experience with this product...
Pros: - No taste issues. - Packs small. - Storage bag. Sounds like this one comes with one. That's a plus because mine didn't.
Cons: - Moderately durable, it sprung a leak along the seam after 10-20 outings. I shoved it in a 70L backpack full of climbing gear, but I mostly took care to keep it laying on top of clothes. I've owned bladders and soft water bottles that have lasted much longer. - The cap isn't tethered to anything so you have to be extra careful. I constructed my own tether so I wouldn't have to worry about dropping it on steep slopes.
Great value for what you get. If your sports are a little less rocky and sharp it's probably perfect for you. I could imagine it's perfect for fast and light / trail runners or family outings. I don't like it because I'm a climber and I can't risk losing 3L of water in the only situations where it would come in handy.

My go-to water container for multi-day hikes.
So far, this water container has accompanied me on five hikes, and it still looks brand new despite the rough treatment it has endured. I would definitely consider buying another one if they become available again. A solid 5/5 rating and a strong recommendation.

Worth it
These are interesting water storage solutions for backpacking. I’m still working out the best way to integrate them into my water system, but I like mine so far.
