The Impossible Project carries the Polaroid torch into the 21st century. Founded in 2008 by a handful of former Polaroid employees, who purchased the world’s last remaining Polaroid factory in hopes of saving 200 million cameras from extinction, the Impossible Project produces and distributes instant film, and also refurbishes old cameras. Today, the company is headquartered in Berlin, and comprises more than 140 employees in seven countries.
Note: This drop includes five single packs of instant film (eight photos per pack), compatible with 600-type Polaroid and Impossible Instant Lab cameras. At checkout, you’ll have your choice of film between Color Film, Color Film with Color Frames, Black & White Film 2.0, Black & White Film 2.0 with Black Frame, and Third Man Records Edition Black & Yellow Film.
From its square image area to its classic white frame, the Impossible Color Film is as iconic as it gets. The colors are rich and the tones natural and well balanced, lending a nostalgic, analog feel.
This pack includes eight different frames in all the colors of the rainbow. Explore color matching, or find complementary colors that make the scenes and subjects you capture really pop.
The second generation in Impossible’s black-and-white film emulsion, this film emerges from the camera in seconds to reveal rich tones, vivid contract, and a clear, sharp finish. Available in a classic white or matte black frame.
Developing in the signature colors of Third Man Records, a music label founded by Jack White, this film uses the same chemistry as Impossible’s Black & White 2.0. Make some noise with rich, deep blacks and vibrant yellows that stands out against the matte black frame.
