I have a small collection of watches that consist of an old Fossil, and a Misfit hybrid, and an ancient Lord Elgin that is just for display that was my Great Grandfather's (no Tag Heuers or anything fancy). This watch feels solid and has a nice weight to it. I bought the one with the metal band and that has a clasp that closes on the inside and looks really clean and minimalist. It feels like a precise well made machine on my wrist, which is amazing given its sub-hundred Drop price. The Ingersoll makes all the others feel like toys, and it was cheaper than either the Fossil or Misfit. Also, the packaging really made it feel like I was opening something very special with a deluxe wooden box and a heavy plaque displaying it's authenticity.
While I love the watch, I have a few complaints. One, what looks like the second hand is actually the chronograph. The second hand is actually the smaller inset dial on the bottom center. I get why they did it, but I never/rarely use the chronograph so I have in effect a dead looking second hand. The second gripe is while I like the aesthetic of the clasp, because it sits on the inside of the band it can occasionally get into positions where it pinches your skin. It doesn't keep me from wearing it all day, but just a minor annoyance. I would definitely call these things these minor shortcomings, and I would definitely buy this watch again or recommend it to a friend.
A very well finished watch, cannot find anything to complain about, great retro vintage influenced design. Narrow bezel to help the vintage look; a kind of "pilot" come "diver" look with the inverted triangle at 12 o'clock, then the retro inspired "lunar watch/daytona style" chronograph arrangement . Love the raised mineral crystal dome on the dial. Believe it or not; the only thing I would have different is the quite excellent "Horween" strap. I think this watch could do with a strap just that little bit thinner, and with a darker color. But that's my personal preference. I invariably change out the straps anyway. The watch fits well with my 7.5 inch wrist. Pics to follow.
This is my first watch and im not really sure what to say, but the watch looks great, bit heavy and thick but its ok for me. I was actually looking for the one with the leather strap but already sold out. I might change the strap later. Still a great looking watch.
The watch is great, great color contrast and feels solid on the wrist
The only issue is the shipping/transit time for this and other drop purchases. However, if you can live with that you get a great value on a great watch.
