I purchased these for my dad for his birthday. He had an old pair of glacier glasses that he used in the pool, on the river, at the lake, and skiing. The old glasses were falling apart and these look and have the same rating as his old glacier glasses, minus the chrome lenses. And he loves them.

Got these because this time of year I drive into a wicked low sun angle going to work. The Julbos provide excellent sun blocking and are just dark enough that they protect but can be used more generally also. Plus they remind me of my dad’s Army sunglasses with side guards.

I have a huge head - like 99.9 percentile, like neurologists always suspect hydrocephalus big. The glasses fit fine. They are just slightly tight at the temples, but they have broken in and have gotten more comfortable.
The light transmission level / lack of distortion make these nice to wear on bright sunny days.
Here's the thing - the look of these is so "distinctive" - you need a certain level of self-confidence and DGAF to carry off the look. I really struggled to get to that point, but now, I DGAF. I like them, so I wear them.

The sunglasses are great. I especially like that different color lenses and leather shields are available at a very low prices - this allows you to buy a model with the color frame you want and then buy the shield and lenses in the color you would prefer.

Fit and comfort are very lacking. i do not have that big of a head, and I had to look through the upper outer corners of the lenses, where distortion is the worse as well. I would not recommend these unless you get to try a pair on first.

These are pretty glasses but are not sturdy at all, within the first month of owning them the frame inexplicably broke on me. NOT FOR ACTUAL CLIMBING/MOUNTAINEERING

aaa12392Yep, Baesex is correct. Julbo has a lifetime warranty and this would be covered. Just give the office a call and they will ship you new temple arms free of charge!

I absolutely love these. I got a pair with Spectron 3 lenses for more casual use. The brass color lenses with brown leather looks great. If you want something different, yet stylish and functional then this might just be it!

Interesting style of glasses, very unique. Great lenses, super comfortable, easy to remove the leather pieces if needed. Great for running around in the desert/snow with.

Somehow the glasses survived, but I wouldn't order them again. They came in a box with sides about as thick as business cards. I'm frankly shocked they weren't ruined.
The glasses are also very big. I have Julbo Explorers and LOVE THEM. These will be moving on to a new owner asap,
