When the American founder of Becker Knife and Tool, Ethan Becker, sought out to create the new KA-BAR knife designs, he wanted to produce a series of knives for serious outdoorsmen and enthusiasts. His work is a favorite among community members for its durability and utility across a wide range of tasks. The BK7 is a flat-out beast. Measuring over a foot long and weighing nearly a pound, it’s apt for tough slices, stubborn pierces, and hefty chops. Though large, it’s relatively easy to control thanks to the ergonomically shaped handle, along with the jimped spine. The 1095 Cro-Van steel blade can take a beating, but you’ll want to keep it clean and oiled after usage to prevent corrosion. Included with the knife is a cordura sheath for carry.
