Really unfortunate how I had to pay 50 dollar customs fee for this "discounted" tent. Ended up paying full price for the fucking thing, whats the point of buying from Massdrop if I cant even save a single cent?

I know what you mean. I've been eyeing the TN2/3 for years and have really loved the design so I'm psyched I finally get to experience it. And at such a great price to boot! I'm headed to the south Utah area (probably Zion over Capitol Reef) in June and Mt. Hood shortly thereafter. Can't wait!!

This seems like an insane amount of weight to me for a tent If packpacking. Anyone else feel over 5 lbs at minimum weight is a bit much to carry?

Only 1 door though. That's a bit of a tradeoff that should be considered and not quite apples/apples, particularly if you are actually putting 2 people in the tent.

I am also frustrated. Massdrop is so slow as to informing us what is going on. They had the tents for a week and they just found out they are missing some after they sent all of them out. What is going on Massdrop. Keep your customer in the loop.

I found no such deal. Maybe on the prior design model, but not the newest iteration.
The best workaround I've come up with so far is to buy one from REI at full price and return the tent you get from MD to REI for a full refund. This option requires each individual to pick up the slack MD is dishing out, but it works if you're in a situation where you need the tent ASAP for an expedition in July.
Here I am packing for a flight in the AM and now I'm scrambling to find shelter for a place thousands of miles from home.

All - I emailed Massdrop and discovered my tent (3 person) was one of the items back-ordered. I opted for the full refund and cancelled my order. Was pretty painless despite being frustrating. The agents who contacted me by email were easy to work with. HOWEVER... Not sure why a tent was back-ordered when I can see quite a few other vendors out there selling this tent. Even Kelty is selling this tent on their website, so how did it become back ordered? Seems fishy to me... Not sure I'll buy from Massdrop again.

@treal512 @chwlbirder - The estimated ship date for this drop is May 22, 2017 and these estimates are generally quite accurate. If you’ve joined the drop, It’s safe to say you will receive your package before June.

Thanks for having this overlap the Salida drop. I had initially joined that one, but this is more suitable for our needs.
