The Velox 2 from Kizer is a workhorse that excels in everyday tasks. It features a recurved 3.4-inch blade made from VG-10: a high-carbon-content steel manufactured in Japan Read More
I wouldn't trust Kizer knives... Bought one and the tip of the blade broke off. Massdrop told me it only has a 30 day warranty, so I'm stuck with a broken knife. What stinks is that I actually think it broke within warranty as it happened pretty soon after I got it, but I was a bit lazy about contacting Massdrop.
Going to try to warn everyone when I see a Kizer drop come up.
The Nick Shabazz review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2szZwUd9WQ&t=196s I actually own this knife, you may find things you don't like about it, but it is an excellent value purchase all things considered.
I have the titanium framelock version of this knife and it is a decent knife, however there are a few things people should know. First, the blade stock is very thick, which is very noticable when cutting through certain materials. You can feel the blade getting wedged in what you're cutting, causing extra resistance during cuts(if that makes sense). Second, if they use the same hardware on this one as the framelock version, it is very soft and easy to strip. The screws are like hardened butter. And third, the action is more like a böker kwaiken where it requires more of a "push" on the tab than a "flick" which I don't personally mind, but I see a ton of people complain about. I will say that it's not as satisfying to open as many of my other flippers, so maybe that's where people's hate comes from.
CheapDealsKizer is a chinese manufacturer, so this knife is indeed made in China. However, Kizer is a reputable company, so don't let that get you down.
