The "real" price is $188 (that's what you'll pay at various stores). So, IF you like this knife, then YES, this is a great price. Certainly, it's got good steel, if not a wee bit on the heavy side.

Um...how about the other model, w/ the ancient Chinese ambassador's credentials written in (modern) Chinese characters on the handle? I always like that one better. This is an excellent price though, as usual for Kizer's offered here, so maybe I'll just deal with the plain model and save $70-$80.

I ordered the one with no writing on it as well and of course got the one with writing on it today. I followed the drop and was hesitant to participate in it due to its foreseeable failure. I should have listened to my gut. I also got the wrong Marantac grappling hook on a previous drop. Is Massdrop known for these shipping blunders? Now I have to take time to communicate with support to get what I paid for, delaying an already lengthy shipping window. Gggrrr.

First off this is a fantastic knife. Perfect alignment, incredible blade, great for slicing. Ordered "A1 w/ Writing" received no writing. Maybe Massdrop can issue a small discount?
