I really dont understand the is Atmos thingy.. Because I called LG and they told me that you can only get Atmos if you have and Atmos ready TV .. Why o why do you need a Atmos ready TV.. Isnt the decoding done by the bar.. Does that mean you dont even get sound out up the top firing speakers.. So this is worthless unless you have a Atmos ready LG pretty much.. I just spent over $2000 for a LG OLed model OLED65B7A which is their lower OLED model and its not Atmos ready.. Anyone have any ideas..

I have the Sound Bar directly in front me, and I do have a door to the right of me as well. But it's normally closed. I get a minor feeling of surround sound, but I am strongly considering hooking my 5.1 back up. This model doesn't support adding surrounding back speakers, if it did, I would be thrilled. I bought the LG wireless back channel speakers, not realizing that this sound bar doesn't support it. The only thing I am currently happy about is this sound bar is how simple it is to set up. Probably will end up giving it to my son.

Dear massdrop team, you have many of international buyers. The most important information about electronic products it's supporting 220v. Please firstly add this informaton. Thank you.
For example about this soundbar - i join to the drop instantly if i know about supporting 220v.

Got it, in that case I called LG to find out. They let me know that this product will work for all standard voltages ranging from 110V-240V.

I've been wanting to get this exact model. Does this drop come with US warranty from LG? Is there a 30 days return policy ?

So hopefully we should expect this drop within the next 30 days? I wonder if it will go for an even lower price this time.. like the massive drop the on e7p.. although i mised that one... 2600 was fair for it. I think the sj9 went for 449 last time... Could we expect something even lower? Thanks!

The specs say this supports 5.1.2, but there's absolutely no information about how to connect rear satellite speakers for surround sound. It doesn't appear that this comes with rear speakers.

The "Atmos" aspect of this seem's to be a marketing ploy... 5.1 drivers/channels does not an Atmos system make

swmarksThis is a dolby atmos sound bar so it has 2 speakers (5.1.2) that aim up and will direct sound behind you. not as good as a component system but much more convenient. Also you only get that simulated surround sound when viewing dolby atmos content on a dolby atmos player.

I missed out! I just bought the LG e7p and the sound that comes with it is not very good. I would love to see the SJ9 available again for purchase

I'm for letting those people in who thought it was going on for one more day if it lowers the price for the rest of us some! :) (but it did say one more day earlier this evening when I bought in, my first Massdrop so not sure if it has a '0 days left' or counts down hours, but maybe today *was* the one day left?)

StriderWAIt said "1 day" which meant there was at least a full day left, it should switch to hours long before the drop actually closes. The price couldn't have gone any lower if more people joined, because it was already at the target, but I'm still pretty pissed I missed out on it.
