Designed by knifemaker Chad Nichols, the limited-edition TiSpine Aculus is as sleek as it gets. First off, the blade is an eye-catcher: Made from Chad Nichols Raindrop Damascus steel, it deviates slightly from the classic damascus look with swirling droplets like condensation on the outside of a glass. The handle is just as impressive as the blade. It’s crafted from a single piece of 6AL4V titanium with an integral frame lock. The one-piece design makes it much stronger than a traditional two-piece frame. For grip, it’s covered in small raised points like goosebumps (it may give you them once you hold it, too). Rounding out the knife is a right-handed tip-up clip and a glassbreaker for emergencies. What’s more, the TiSpine Aculus is made in Maniago, Italy, known as the City of Knives.
