For that price, every single USB port should be 3.0.

Some devices aren't compatible with USB 3.0 and only with USB 2.0, like some audio equipment. This is especially apparent in most USB Blue microphones. They'll have driver crashes if they're not plugged into a USB 2.0 port.

I wish that once, one of these good looking hubs would have the power and USB connection coming out of the BACK of the hub.

I don't understand why it's not entirely USB-3. I've owned cheaper USB-3 hubs, namely from Anker, with more ports than this. It's not like USB-3 isn't USB-2 compatible.

donatjI had the exact same opinion but some audio equipments require USB-2. A gear I have plays up when you plug it in USB-3. Of course I learnt the hard way.

Save $5 vs have it in less than 2 days with prime... It isn't even an actual USB 3.1 or Thunderbolt rated hub; and it's only using USB 3.0 over type C Time to just wait for USB 4.02 (2x2)^2 Ultra Delux Royal With Cheese, when we will have thunderbolt natively supported.

This would be far more interesting if it supported Qualcomm QC, and was all USB 3.0. Try again.

Specs don't mention wattage, and the description makes it sound like it can be used for data OR charging, which makes no sense. I just want a freaking USB hub with an adequate power supply in case I decide to run 9 devices at once that each draw 2A (i.e., 2x5x9 = 90W). I don't want a "USB charging tower," and I don't want a "USB hub" that fails to supply adequate power to every attached device. Is that really so much to ask? Also, I want every single port to be usable for both data and charging. I'll decide what to use the port for, thanks.
if this was 2 USB 2.0 ports and 4 USB 3.0 (type A) ports, I could see my way to buying this just for convenience. However I only have two mere USB 2.0 devices. My UHS II USB 3.0 reader would seem that it would be happy with a USB 2.0 port. But given overhead and signaling differences, it really needs 3.0 to get all those large video files off in a reasonable time. Likewise my two NVME SSDs will top out on a USB 2.0 connection at a third of the potential speed. Actually for the newer one make that a quarter. This is worth $25 tops.

It's nice, but I think the price is a bit high for what you are getting. If it was $29.99 I can justify purchasing it, but there are other hubs out there on Amazon that are far cheaper for what you are getting.
