ShiningMoment@CEE_TEE Has this issue been fixed in the versions being shipped now? This is really the only issue keeping me from joining.. thanks!

qua2kWe're looking at some tape that can help tighten the sockets and getting some cable samples with firmer plastic connectors. Trying to find the root cause for a fix plus a mitigation if you have the current cable connector (if that ends up being the root cause).

CEE_TEESounds good! I will be following the item for updates. Will probably join once the root cause/fix if there is one is completed. Thank you for the response, I really appr. it.

CEE_TEEIf the fix involves tweaking the cable design, will you send out the new cable to those who have already bought the MD+?

uniengineHi uniengine, So far it seems to be a few people with over 1,000 units sold but we are looking into it. We're not sure if it is the cable, we are working on this at all angles and will let everyone know. Yes, the intention is to have a fix if you have an issue.

CEE_TEEGood to hear. My connectors both seem to come out at the slightest tug of the cable. Makes me scared to use and lose these outside as I've had them fall out a few times in public already.

CEE_TEEI'm wondering if the situation with socket has been resolved? Because although my connectors stay in place, the socket on one of the iems seems to able to move 0.2mm in/our when I pull/push on it. I'm not sure if this is somehow related to the connector issue. I've inspected the socket closely and am thinking that whatever was used to hold the socket in place wasn't strong/durable enough. It seems that so far only the bump/protrusion is keeping the connector in.

CEE_TEEWhat's happening with this, my son has had his for about a month (birthday present FTW) and the cables constantly come out. It's a truly awful quality issue for something that's so nice in other respects. What is being done to fix this since it's been like 6 months since you posted this?

sredmoreHi sredmore, We've been working on some slight changes to the connector design/materials as well as testing them. The new design is working well so we are about to roll it out on new units. One user has had good success applying a little tape to the connector portion of loose cables where the connector is in the socket (on the non-indexed, non-ridge side). That mod has helped him keep the cables in securely. I'll check with the team about replacing cables for those of you who need them. Thank you for your patience while we found the right balance of material hardness and slight design tweaks (quite small tolerances).
