Toothless_SnakeI recieved mine today! I think they need some break/burn in time. First impression, underwhelming. Going to give them some time and do a review.
MMMIKEEEHave you tried the 58X? I’m scared they might be better than these for what I want, I’m mostly going to be gaming and listening to music, and my main genres are hip hop/edm and it seems like the jubilee have more bass.
Diego32320These are pretty warm sounding, they sound fine with a bunch of electronic and hip hop/rap I listened to.
Listen to Meute-You&Me when you get them, I think it is a good song to show how these can perform.
Just don't expect pinpoint imaging with either 6xx or 58x, they just sound good, good and not fatiguing (unlike the 58x which I heard can be more fatiguing).
spiritofjerryThese are not precise at all, and soundstage is still meh, but it does that better than imaging. They are pleasant to listen to, a great all-rounder. This is my take (and what 99% of people say, and why people buy these).
Not trying to be combative, just shocked by anyone that says these image great.
What songs would you recommend to show the imaging? What gear and comparisons are you using to show how well they image?
TomcopterIt is an ok soundstage, better than any closed set near the same price and definitely any under . These are absolutely the one set to own headphone. Resolve well, have a good sound (warm but a bit veiled), image better than a $50 set but nothing to write home about, soundstage is enough to get a sense of the recording.
These wont knock your socks off, but they will give you a fantastic foot rub.
MMMIKEEEHm, interesting. I guess sound is very subjective then, because I feel they image quite well from front to back, just not side to side. I can hear this in every track I play.
MMMIKEEEDEPENDS on what music you listen to. Nothing is going to make mp3 recordings sound good. Once again folks everything you mention is "in" the recording.,. You can not change this. Perception is everything. Listen to any of Dr. Chesky's Binaural Recordings , where the mics are placed affects what you hear.
MMMIKEEEThese are among the best imaging and soundstage of the headphones I've owned, I think a lot depends on gear and HRTF obviously. The soundstage isn't huge but it's realistic, when I hear a piano piece, the left end and right end of the keys sound the correct distance apart (I know because I've got a $60k grand piano in my home), compared to say a HD800 which makes it sound like two pianos in opposite corners of the room. A lossless piece that I'm listening to right now has superb imaging - Melanie De Biasio's With Love, a classic like Anne Bisson's September in Montreal, or a binaural piece like Amber Rubarth's Tundra also work very well.
JackulaThese are also among the best imaging headphones I have owned, but I only own a few pair, so it isn't saying much.
I could go on about how my life experiences can justify my opinion, but that doesn't matter, I am glad you find them to image well. They do not image well for me, but I still enjoy them and plan to continue to enjoy them.
Cheers

MMMIKEEEYour right, thpugh they are better than my dt990's in every way except for bass, they are not better in soundstage or imaging which is why I use my 990's for gaming.
P4PAG00NI wouldn't call the 6XXs better than DT990s (at least not the 600 Ohm versions), just different.
For example, I immediately sold my 6XXs, as they underwhelmed me and felt too close to my M1060r2s, but the DT990s have earned a permanent place on my desk.
