FadeYou can extend out the headband, then gently stretch the metal part :) there are tutorials online.

FadeI have a well worm pair of HD580s (on their third set of pads) and thought the clamp would be about the same. The HD6xx clamp is way more intense. It's very noticeable, but not particularly uncomfortable for me. I do expect as the pads get worn in a bit it will be less noticeable.
