I've wanted a red and black pair of K7XXs for months until I watched the Z Review on YouTube, which emphasized the visibly plastic build of the parts that are bright red in this edition. In my incredibly humble opinion, the effect would be more aesthetic if the dual band were made of curved red aluminium.
I've waited a month for this drop to return and now I'm contemplating waiting for the black drop instead. I wish it were possible to buy a pair with blue or light orange bands just to divorce the aesthetic entirely from that of the Beats' ubiquitous black and red. BTW: Beats' move from initial bright colors to more understated ones (as evidenced by more recent iterations I've seen festooning the skulls of fashionable foonts) is a typical move on the part of Apple's former (and now present) designers: Seduce consumers with colors, then make them feel dirty for choosing anything but executive-friendly shades of silver and gray.
Still, the people who are most likely to see K7XXs in my rat-warren-sized apartment are my grillfiend, my producer friend and my warren-friendly davenport.

VarholiaglimpI can tell you first hand that they look and sound amazing, and I don't regret purchasing them. In fact red is my favorite color so this was perfect! You should go for them.
