Man....those stock pads tho. Get yourself a pair of HM5 pads and do a pad swap with your favorite material/version from them. I did the Angled Sheepskin and man it feels so much better to wear! Haven't done a swap between the hybrid or velour to see the tonal differences but I trust zreviews in his video on the differences (https://youtu.be/YNVVhD2eQG0?t=7m35s) so I went with the leather anyways. One thing is make sure you pre-stretch the pads to make it a bit easier to fit them around the ring...without snapping them. They are flexible but you can bend enough to snap.. I would know..but you can buy replacements easily a t about $10 a pair.

PS: I put my angled velours on my K7XX and that was such a plus

bjvp182Hello, where you can buy replacement for the RING? I accidentally snapped one of them when I'm trying to change to Angled pads. Thanks mate!

bjvp182Have you tried the angled Brainwavz from Amazon (PLeather, methinks?) and if so, have you also tried the pads on the 400s ? I bought the Brainwavz and hoping for the same level of confort of the 400s :(

ATragicEnding400s? HE-400s? I dont have em so i wouldnt know at the moment (although if anyone wants to give me their 400i or 400s i will not oppose lol) . I have currently Angled Velour on K7XX, Regular Velour on HD558s, and Sheepskin Angled on HE-350s (Although I'm thinking of getting a few more velour ones to pad roll it to see which ones I like more).

bjvp182How firm would you say the Brainwavz are compared to stock HE350?

ATragicEndingSo much softer than the stock pads. I prefer the whole soft cloud feel if I can get to it with memory foam pads. For my sake I thankfully bought the replacement pads prior to the HE350 arriving so I was able to pad swap asap. When I put on the HE350 with the stock pads, I was disgusted at how firm they felt. They don't give at all (maybe i need to really break them in? But I am not going to sit there with these pads in an undesired comfort level), while the HM5 pads as mentioned are much softer. They don't compress much under the clamp from the headphones but they do allow for a more comfortable fit/feel as well as for me (just like on the K7XX) the stock pads did not seal well in the space right behind where my jaw hinge is. Now I haven't been exposed to the focus pads from HiFiMan but according to Zeos they are a definite upgrade (imo probably an easier pad swap as well since they are made for the shape of the headphone). I say watch his video about the headphones to get a better idea about the pads.

ATragicEndingI also just pad swapped again to the Velour to see what it's like. I kind of like them more for the feel but I do not have a sturdy opinion on the sound yet.
