Done in a tastefully decorative style, these liner lock folders from Seki City, Japan–based Mcusta will make a handy blade in a pinch, and a great gift. Measuring 6.5 inches long, they feature a 2.9-inch blade made from 33-layered nickel damascus with a VG-10 core. The blades resemble rippling waters, making a nice pairing with the solid damascus steel handles. Another nice touch is the anodized pivot pin. For deployment, all that’s needed is a press on the dual thumbstuds: Thanks to the oiled washer system, the blade rotates open with ease. Absent of a pocket clip, these folders will go great in a breast pocket or slacks pocket. They also come with a Nishijin pouch for storage.
