I'm sure everyone who wants one of these knows what's involved, but just in case you don't: This is a very l-o-n-g card. Make sure you have room in your case, especially if you have short cable runs already in place. You will need to run a separate PCI-e line from your power supply to this video card, or your computer will not boot. The PCI-e power line connects on the TOP of this card (it this how things are normally done? I've been away from the wonderful world of systems building for a while) In my case (see what I just did there?) the power cable had to make a 90 degree bend from the top of the video card in order for me to fit the side panel of my case back on.
Other than that, this is a very nice card, even if the next generation is only a few months away. If you really, really need a video card, this was a good drop.

bill.d.trav is correct. Massdrop started with good intentions and offered drops with very little risk because of the demand from us. However, it became very successful, got greedy (typical), and started gouging us. This makes them not unlike actual online retailers, such as ebay, Newegg and Amazon. Yet they are still not being taxed like the other retailers, because they are only pretending to be middle-men instead of an actual retailer. For their greed, i hope this changes and they start getting their thieving asses taxed. Yes I know this will make their prices go up. But at least this way i can just buy from Amazon and Newegg and won't be forced to give these greedy bastards my money. Then a new company will come along with their business plan as a middle man, but remain true to their roots...and i'll buy from them. You should be ashamed of yourselves Massdrop.

The MSRP of that card is $250.
We know that its price skyrocketed but thats because retailers increase the pricetag what is massdrop's excuse?
They want to help us out by just overpricing the product 150% instead of 200%? oh thanks for the favor! schmucks!

Yes cars are sold at MSRP (atleast when you buy it from a car sales man new ). Some cars maybe more expensive than what they cost (that is more of an issue when we are talking about the upper spectrum of cars and or interior luxury extras) but they are still at MSRP since its the MANUFACTURER that decides the price on cars (e.g vw) not the retailer.. the retailer only has a fixed cut (since car industry works more like a cartel you picked the worse example here just because you thought it suited your argument but although peculiar it still doesnt work) Anyway back to the topic the price on graphics cards rose this PARTICULAR year artificially, retailers claim its because of miners (and it is true that miners buy many cards ) but its mostly an excuse/scapegoat for them to make more money since there are obvius solutions to raised demand (most simple of them is raising production) but thats a big story and irrelevant to the subject go to a computer forum to discuss about that.
What matters in this particular discussion is that mass drop buys the 1060s at about $200 from MSI and sells them to you at $400 (or whatever the pricetag of this drop was I cant remember) and that may not be theft legally (since people -ill/misinformed people or people that do not know better -accept to do purchase those items) but from an ethical site its a scam because massdrop is NOT a retailer it is SUPPOSED to arrange.... mass drops...
Its single point of existence is that it is supposed to CIRCUMVENT the retail market buy arranging a group order directly from the manufacturer and thus achieving a price LOWER than MSRP.
That's what it advertises it does and that's what people think it does. yet here it obviously does not it just exploits the fact that those cards have had a 200% increase in their retail price and sells them just a little under that while still pocketing a large amount of the price-tag it offers to you (like more than half the money its asks for the card is massdrop's profit)
