The Nextorch E51 (Updated for 2019) can pump out up to 1,400 lumens and cast a beam as far as 200 meters—but you wouldn’t know it looking at its small stature. At just 5 inches long, it’s small enough to easily take on the go, which is easy given the included pocket clip Read More
I love this flashlight. It is very nicely engineered and as bright as the sun. At night it is unbelievably bright... bright enough that it can be used as a non-lethal weapon. It will blind someone long enough for you to (hopefully) get away from trouble. The clip is well placed and it hold it nicely in the corner of my pocket.
I thought the charging light indicator was broken and I reached out to the manufacturer who informed me that you have to press the button while it's plugged in. It is a strange operation but now that I know, it works fine.
Update: I still love this flashlight. Having reached a certain age I have to make a couple trips to the bathroom at night. As I travel a lot, most hotel bathrooms don't have a nightlight. I set the flashlight to the lowest setting and stick it in the Kleenex box. It lights the entire bathroom with a very nice, dim glow that doesn't make you squint at all. It runs all night without a problem; I just charge it during the day while I leave for the office.
I have had this light now for about six months. I carry this light everyday. It really fits well in the pocket. At first I thought it would be too bulky in the pocket but it really has not bothered me. The light is more than bright enough for anything I have needed. I love the fact that I can easily recharge it when the juice is low. The only thing I guess either I did not read up on or see anywhere was the fact that once you plug in to charge it, you have to click the on button. For the first couple weeks I thought that the light was dud. I accidentally left in on in my pocket one day and drained it. I plugged in to charge and nothing. Tried again the next day, nothing. But now that I know how to charge it it works great.
AlacardYes, there is a small hole right above the usb port that will either have a red or green light. Red when charging and green when full. It will only show when plugged in.
This is a well built light . I like how the usb charging port is tucked away inside the screw top. I don't like having to cycle through the different brightness. I wish it had memory to stay on a brightness and the ability to change it when I want. This simple design may be perfect for some people not for me,
PROs
Three completely useful brightness levels. Low is find for getting around in the dark. Medium to illuminate any normal room. High is insanely bright and great for looking out into the distant trees, getting attention, etc.
USB-C charging is convenient as the world moves in that direction.
Comes with a wrist strap
CONs
None of these are very big but this is what I have noticed:
can't rest on its end cap because it isn't quite flat so you cant have it aim at ceiling by itself to light up a room
mode switching is done by tapping the single button on the end. My Fenix has a thumb button that lets you select mode
Always restarts with brightest setting. This combined with the above makes it a bit of shock to turn on and hard to preserve night vision after big initial blast.
Totally amazing well constructed light. I bought two.
It's got a couple beauty marks already but it really works great. Only problem is it gets really hot in turbo but that's not uncommon when you're making that much light. It's a good size, uses a common battery size for quick swapping instead of charging, and the clip is holding up well. It's small enough to use like an inspection light on low for up close stuff but can really put out some light when you need to see.
Got this to replace my mag light led mini pro and it honestly is the best replacement ever. This thing by far is brighter then the mag light mini and it feels like it lasts much longer also. Would highly recommend for anybody who needs a small light to carry in their backpack or their car.
This is the most POWERFUL light I ever got. Fuck, I might change my car's lights for 2 of these, it's cheaper and brighter. I feel like I have the sun in the palm of my hand each time I put it on the maximum setting. Just unreal.
