I bought these as a lightweight alternative for my wife and I. I went a size up based on reviews from other sites and am glad I did. This fit perfectly. After wearing them several times mainly for urban environments and the odd hike, they have held up really well and are really breathable despite feeling so flimsy. I've worn them over work pants constantly and the water has beaded every time but I know I'll need to use some repellent down the track like with my Arcteryx Zeta jacket.

These are pretty good pants. I really like the fabric (slightly stretchy) and the cut. So far they've been pretty waterproof, withstanding some heavy rains commuting by motorcycle and hiking the Inca trail in Peru. But, the DWR is not very good, or it wasn't well applied. The pants have wetted out in large patches starting with their first time being worn. The legs could be a little longer too. Or maybe I could have sized up. I'm 6', 175 pounds, 33 waist and got the mediums. I wear these over pants and like that the fit is slimmer than other water- or wind-proof pants that I have. They're great for hiking or any time my legs are pretty straight. But when bending one's legs, like riding the motorcycle, they're a little short. Love that they come in gray.
