i'm impressed with these. After my house burned last week, these were the only shoes i had left--as i was wearing them that day. They are comfortable for daily wear and have held up very well to daily trudges through deep piles of sodden ash insulation and debris, with only mild staining.
What do expect to get for $80? Obviously, you’re not getting the “finest European materials”. From the pictures themselves you can see the leather you’re getting, wrinkled cracked cheap leather. But at least as it looks your getting real leather no PU leather.
Usually leather that looks like that are very thin and are cut from the least wanted part of the hide. That usually have veins and/or blemishes, it like I said what do you expect from an $80 pair of boots.
Do not judge leather by the look? This is exactly what you should do when buying shoes. Check the quality of the leather, check if is full grain, top grain or corrected grain. Check if is calf, horse or other. Check for abnormal marks like veins or other stuff that would make the shoe look cheap.
AuJunfengJustinI find that they are true to size to maybe just a tad big. But the leather conforms to your foot within the first couple of wearings. And very comfortable.
treeincI received the shoes, the fit is close to too tight. I have size 11 now, would like to have size 11.5. Somebody want to trade with me, preferably in Europe (I live in Holland)?
