Whether you’re backpacking, cycle touring, skiing, sailing, or traveling the world, protect your equipment from the elements with this trio of weatherproof products from Peak Design. Appropriately named “The Mudslinger,” this bundle keeps your camera safe and dry while making sure it’s easily accessible for every action photo and summit panorama. So go ahead: Get outside, get the shot, and rest assured your gear can go as hard as you do.
Note: On this drop, you’ll get three Peak Design products: the Shell camera cover, a clip of your choice, and a strap of your choice. The base price is for the Shell cover, Capture clip, and Leash strap. At checkout, you can upgrade to the CapturePRO clip (+ $20)—and for your strap, the SlideLITE (+ $15), the Slide Classic in Black (+ $25), the Slide Lassen in Red/Tan (+ $30), or the Slide Tallac in Navy (+ $30). You can also select your Shell size: S, M, or L.
Durable and form-fitting, the Shell is made from seam-taped, four-way-stretch fabric with a waterproof membrane that resists moisture, dust, and abrasion without adding bulk or impeding your workflow. Leave the lens end open while shooting, and cinch it closed for complete coverage when you’re on the move. The Shell weighs just 4 ounces and packs down small into its built-in storage pocket. Not sure which size to pick? See this sizing chart.
With these clips, you can rigidly carry any camera on your backpack strap, belt, or messenger bag. Both the Capture and CapturePRO are designed to work with straps up to 3 inches wide and half an inch thick, and feature a quick-release plate with four attachment loops and a button safety lock. The lighter, entry-level Capture has an aluminum clip and a glass-reinforced backplate, while the professional-grade CapturePRO has an all-aluminum construction. The latter has the added benefits of Manfrotto RC2 tripod compatibility and a tripod mounting hole for use as a monopod or tripod quick-release clamp. Not sure which clip you need? See this guide.
Measuring three-quarters of an inch wide, the minimalist Leash is compatible with all cameras and can be used as a sling strap, neck strap, safety tether (for which it adjusts to as short as 19 inches), video stabilizer, and more. The Slide measures 1.8 inches wide, and is made of seatbelt-style tubular webbing with internal padding for added comfort—while the SlideLITE packs the same design and materials into an 1.25-inch width ideal for carrying mirrorless cameras. All straps are adjustable and use Peak Design’s proprietary Anchor Link connection system, which can hold weights of up to 200 pounds. Not sure which strap to choose? See this guide.
