Got it quickly from Massdrop at the specified date. I already had a blue m205 and an old style m600, this is just as cool. With a bit of cellophane between the nib and feed I am getting Kon Peki to write a bit lighter, without compromising flow, there's also a lot of shading which seems to bring out the best in this ink, by comparison Tsuyu Kusa looks better fully saturated, to my eyes. Watching the ink inside the pen is awesome.
SeadonkeyLoveYou can use a small piece of clear cellophane (as used in biscuit packets and such, as long as there's no grease on it) between the nib and feed, on my m205 it's between the nib "dot" where the tines are separated and the bottom of the logo.
The height is about 4mm, I cut a 2 cm strip, jam it it gently, carefully cut off the excess so you can cap the pen. It has the advantage of being easily reversible, use small pliers to take it out. You can run into starting up problems until you find the right position for the cellophane, so don't cut the excess off until it works right.
Be warned this can make look your nib look funny. My clear m205 eventually found its match with Hisoku but I still use this in my clear blue m205 with Verdigris; I just remembered the cellophane I used with it isn't clear but has a reflective surface. This is what it looks like:
I like the very soft fine nib of this pen. A very good experience to write and look at it. It is not a large pen, however I have no problem to hold it for an extended period of time. Some guys with big palm may not suitable!
LimSKI thought it was quite soft as well when compared to my other M205. Despite a M nib, it writes finer than my F. It is so different I questioned its authenticity, but it is lovely to write with.
Good pen, the cap just needs an O-ring and a smaller price tag
The pen writes well (EF nib). It is smooth and doesn't dry out too quickly. The piston design holds plenty of ink.
Only complaint would be that the cap doesn't stay on very well and needs an O-ring like the twisbi mini.
The plastic doesn't look as good as the twisbi. I can't speak for the ef nib on the twisbi (I have stub), but i can say that this pen's The nib feels very close to the diplomat esteem's ef nib, so it's pretty good (not sure how the mini's nibs compare though).
I chose the medium nib. It did not disappoint at all. A wet (not overly) writer with smooth nib that goes well with the Diamine Yellow ink I put in. I like how the ink sloshes in the demonstrator!!
I enjoy a wet bib, this a bit much. A demonstrator with a bunch of ink splotches is not the most attractive. With that ink comes inky fingers. I use my pens at work and had to pull the M205 out of my rotation. On the brighter side, love the nib. Looks very cool.
