Hard to say whether they're polarized or not — I see them around the web both with and without polarization. The lens material appears to be "crystal," whatever that means. Would be nice to have some definitive answers to these questions.
I don't see how this is an adaptation of the 9649, a bulky fixed-frame model. This looks much more like Steve McQueen's trim, folding 714's. Even the PO number is nearly identical.

CKWalkerI have the LE McQueen version of these which are 54s and they are indeed pretty huge (but that hasn’t prevented me from wearing them into the ground. ;)
But I tried on the plain 52s at an airport once and I was like, oh THAT’S how these are supposed to look.
Either way it’s hard to buy shades without trying them on first but this is a pretty decent price for these.
